Today all NVCLAN.COM servers have been secured by SteamBans.

Steambans is a Banlist used on nearly 1,000 servers with a total of over 1.8million bans. As well as detecting and automatically banning cheaters, it also allows admins to submit demos to an admin panel for review - and should the accused be found guilty, they will be banned across all SteamBans servers.

Additionally we have other plugins recently installed to block anti flash and wallhack.

First off, I hope everyone has a great 2012 - it will certainly be a very exciting year for NV.

A big thank you to everyone that has donated and funded our servers & website in 2011 - without you this community wouldn't be where it is today. Our current servers have proved very successful, and we have lots of room for expansion - we are very much open to suggestions for new servers (including other games).

We will be hosting a community meeting soon, and it would be good for people to post their ideas for topics of discussion, especially for the new donations system.

We managed to get rid of most of the bugs during testing tonight with 10-15 people, however as I coded this from scratch there's probably some left.

The weapon restrictions, blocking of passages, team balance (5v3), team switch (when T win) etc is all complete.

The homepage is nearly complete now, aside from a few tweaks needed to the colours.

We have the capacity for many more gaming servers on our box, please make your suggestions below as to what you would like to see. New servers will be created as long as the current servers have a high player count throughout the day and the majority of the community agree to the choice of game/mode.

NV Meeting #1 - Summary.

Selection of Nova Ventus Management
After a fairly drawn out selection process, three members were shown to be clear winners, and are now Managers of Nova Ventus!

The hierarchy is now as follows:

Nova Ventus Founder - roXide.
Nova Ventus Management - JustMe, Puni, Wreemo.


Trialist System
The clan has now been closed, and all potential future members must trial for entry into the clan. The system is now as follows:

Potential applicants should be active on TeamSpeak and attempt to get to know as many current members as possible. They must also be over the age of 16.
They must then fill out a form on the forums, completing all the sections.
A member of Management will then review their application, and decide whether they deserve a trial or not.
If their application is accepted, they will be put on trial until a set date.
At the end of the trial, their performance will be reviewed by Management and the community will be allowed to pass on opinions, and a decision will be made based on the collected opinions.

Membership may be revoked if Management find it appropriate.


Servers
No new servers will be put up until the current ones are populated. If you want more servers to be added, it's your job to help the population process!

In-Game Clan-Tag.
By majority vote, it has been decided that the in-game tag will now be "NVCLAN.COM |".
